Using the simple work instruction, methods and stadards generation tool to improve efficiencies of employees and machines by using the best method, eliminating waste motion and effort and ensuring correct and effective layouts based on frequency of use.

Signage strategy for cells, product lines and work stations.

 

Information board strategy to show inventory, training levels, calibration and product outputs and efficiencies.

Setting down procedures for employees regarding the 'Sort' and 'Shine' stages and how to assist the employees maintain adherence to these procedures.

Inspecting the workplaces and scoring the employees/teams/departments to create a 'Shine' ethic by friendly competition.

Standardising the facility and rolling out the 5s procedures across all teams and departments.

Creating checklists to manage and assess the 'sustain' stage.
